Hangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center
The Hangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center is located in Qianjiang Century City, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City. It served as the main venue for the Eleventh Summit of the Group of Twenty Leaders. As a key project in Zhejiang Province, it has a planned building area of 840,000 square meters, with exhibition center, conference center, comprehensive property, rooftop garden (City Living Room), underground commercial facilities, and parking garage as its five major functional areas. The exhibition center is designed to accommodate 7,500 international standard booths (including 1,000 outdoor booths); the conference center can meet the needs of high-specification international conferences such as APEC and Davos; the 60,000-square-meter rooftop garden, combined with the City Living Room, can meet the requirements for high-standard receptions, banquets, and premium exhibitions. The City Living Room echoes the 'City Balcony' across the Qiantang River, forming a new urban highlight.
The Hangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center was designed by Beijing Institute of Architectural Design Co., Ltd. Located in Qianjiang Century City, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, it is a significant measure for Hangzhou to gradually transition from the 'West Lake Era' to the 'Qiantang River Era', as stipulated in the overall urban planning of Hangzhou.
The Hangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center covers an area of 190,000 square meters. The main building consists of five above-ground floors and two underground levels, with a total construction area of 850,000 square meters, including 18,000 square meters for conferences, 61 meeting rooms, 90,000 square meters for exhibitions, capable of accommodating 4,500 international standard booths, and featuring column-free exhibition halls covering ten thousand square meters. With 4,000 parking spaces, it is a comprehensive complex integrating conference, exhibition, hotel, commercial, and office functions.
The Hangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center has five floors in total, with 61 meeting rooms. The main conference hall is 3,000 square meters, the banquet hall is 1,800 square meters, and the multi-functional hall is 1,300 square meters. Among them, the main conference hall is equipped with 16 channels of simultaneous interpretation, meeting the requirements of international conferences.
The main venue of the 2016 China Hangzhou G20 Summit is located on the fourth floor of the Hangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, covering an area of approximately 2,000 square meters. It is a square space with a side length of 45 meters, embodying the simple philosophical view of 'Heaven is round, Earth is square'.
